1Channels and categories
Doramo communicates by SMS, email, and in-app notification. Messages fall into two categories with different rules:
- Transactional / service messages — booking confirmations and changes, arrival and dispatch notices, lead alerts, payment receipts, security codes and alerts, policy-change notices, and messages another user sends you through the Platform. These are part of operating your account.
- Marketing messages — promotions, feature announcements, newsletters, and anything sent to encourage use or purchase. These are sent only with your separate opt-in and can be stopped at any time without affecting your account.
2SMS program disclosure
Doramo sends transactional text messages about your bookings and your account. You agree to receive them in either of these ways:
- By giving your mobile number to a cleaning business that uses Doramo. When you give your number to a provider so they can reach you about the service you booked, you agree to receive text messages about that service. The provider records your number in Doramo, and Doramo sends the messages on the provider's behalf from a Doramo number. Providers may enter only a number the customer gave them for the service, and must remove it if asked.
- By entering or confirming your number yourself in the Doramo app or during account setup.
What these messages are. Booking confirmations, a notice when the work at your home starts and when it is finished, changes and cancellations, payment links, and messages the business writes to you about your service, translated into your language when one is recorded. They are never marketing, and a number a provider entered is never used for marketing. The first text you receive names Doramo and the business and tells you how to stop.
Message frequency varies with your bookings — typically a confirmation when a visit is scheduled and a notice when the work starts and when it is finished, plus any message the business sends you. Message and data rates may apply.
If you separately opt in to marketing texts, you can expect recurring promotional messages. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of using the Platform.
Doramo does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Mobile information is disclosed only to service providers that support message delivery on Doramo's behalf, and those providers are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are excluded from any category of personal information Doramo sells, shares, or discloses for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising under applicable state privacy laws.
- Reply STOP to any message to cancel at any time. Doramo also honors opt-out requests made by any other reasonable means, including QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, or a plain-language request. You will receive one final message confirming opt-out. STOP ends all text messages from Doramo to that number, including messages from every business that uses Doramo, and no business can turn them back on — only you can, by replying START. You can still be reached in the Doramo app or by email.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact support@doramoapp.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
3Email
Transactional email (receipts, confirmations, security, policy notices) is part of your account. Marketing email is sent only with your opt-in, identifies Doramo as the sender with a valid physical address, uses truthful subject lines, and contains a working unsubscribe link in every message, honored within 10 business days. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional email.
4Canada (CASL)
For recipients in Canada, Doramo sends commercial electronic messages only with express consent, requested with a clear description of the message types, Doramo's identity and contact information, and a statement that consent can be withdrawn at any time. Every commercial message identifies Doramo, provides contact information valid for at least 60 days, and includes an unsubscribe mechanism honored within 10 business days. Withdrawal of consent can be exercised by the same electronic means the message was sent, or via support@doramoapp.com.
5Calls
Doramo does not make telemarketing calls. Operational calls (e.g., support returning your request) may occur using the number on your account. Doramo does not use artificial-voice or prerecorded marketing calls.
6Your controls
Notification settings in the app control each category and channel. STOP, unsubscribe links, settings, and support@doramoapp.com all work; use whichever is easiest. Opting out of marketing never affects your access to the Platform.
7Messages between users
Messages a Client and Provider exchange through the Platform are delivered as part of the service. Do not use Platform messaging to send marketing to other users; that is a violation of the Acceptable Use Policy.
